Work Permits

Work Permit Information
Permits are issued through the main office at Franklin High School

Permits are written for:
  • Students who either go to school or live in Franklin and plan to work in Massachusetts
  • Students who live out of state and plan to work in Franklin
  • Students who either live in or go to school in Franklin and plan to work remotely from Franklin, even if the company is based out of state
For Franklin High School Students
  • Print out the work permit application and have the employer fill it out and sign it. 
  • The student and a parent must sign the application.
  • Please indicate the student’s hair and eye color. 
  • If the student is under 16 years old, the application will require a stamp from the doctor’s office.  
  • Bring the application to the main office at Franklin High School.
 
For Non-Franklin High School students:
  • Print out the work permit application and have the employer fill it out and sign it.
  • The student and a parent must sign the application.
  • Include the following student information:                          
  1. age
  2. hair color
  3. eye color
  4. school
  5. grade
  6. home address
  • Include a copy of the student's birth certificate.
  • If the student is under 16 years old, the application will require a stamp from the doctor's office.  
  • Scan or take pictures of all forms and either bring them to the main office at Franklin High School or email them to mckeownl@franklinps.net during the school year or to stantons@franklinps.net in the  summer.
  • School year office hours for work permits are 7:30 - 2:45.
  • Summer office hours for work permits are 8:00 - 11:00.
