Mock Trial Team

Description:

The Mock Trial Team conducts actual trials in local district courts in competition with other high school teams. There is a preliminary round of two or three trials beginning in late January. The winners from each region then advance to a state-wide elimination tournament. Students on the team may act as either attorneys (giving opening and closing arguments, and conducting direct and cross-examination of witnesses), or as witnesses.
