Registration Checklist 

When can I register my child?

In order to register for Franklin Public Schools, you must live in Franklin. Please remember to register with the Town Clerk's Office as a resident of Franklin.  Please do not begin your child's online registration until the first day of your lease, or after you have closed on your new home and are in possession of your closing disclosure.

If you are homeless, if the student is in foster care, if you need a form in a different language than those provided, or if you have any questions, please contact Denise Miller at 508-553-4819 or millerd@franklinps.net.   

What should I gather in order to register my child?

As required by the state and the School Committee, every student seeking admission to school for the first time must upload the following:

  • An original birth certificate or equivalent proof of age acceptable to the Registration Team/Principal 

  • Child’s up-to-date immunizations record

  • Child’s up-to-date physical exam (within the last year)

  • Parent/guardian’s photo identification and snapshot of parent’s face

  • Proof of residence: real estate tax bill OR mortgage statement OR lease  (If you live with someone, please call Denise 508-553-4819)

  • Custody documentation if separated or divorced

  • If your child has an IEP or 504 Plan, please upload the most recent copy when you register
