Breanna Shaffer set to coach Franklin High School’s Varsity Softball Team.

Franklin High School is proud to announce that Breanna Shaffer has joined the Franklin Athletic Department as the new varsity softball coach. 

Most recently, Shaffer coached the junior varsity softball coach at Sharon High School during the 20-22 seasons. Prior to that, Shaffer was the assistant varsity softball coach for Canton High School during the 2018 season. Additionally, Shaffer has proudly coached the Central Massachusetts Thunder Gold 18U every summer since 2016. 

Shaffer brings vast coaching and playing experience and is looking forward to continuing her coaching career stating “I am very excited to be the new varsity softball coach at Franklin High School. I am looking forward to meeting the team and getting the season started.”

Shaffer is originally from Plainville, Mass. and attended King Philip Regional High School, where she was a member of the varsity softball team for four years. During her time at King Philip, her team was awarded the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association championship in 2009 and again in 2010. 

Following her successful high school career, she attended Bridgewater State University (BSU) where she continued her athletic career, competing at the collegiate level as an outfielder and slap hitter. Shaffer currently holds a B.S. degree in management with a global concentration and a Masters in homeland security with a concentration in Cybersecurity from Endicott College.
