What Is The PCC?

The HMMS Parent Communication Committee (PCC) is a group that raises money to fund educational and social events for students and families at HMMS.  Money is raised through direction donations, fundraisers and other free money programs and grants we apply for.  Funds raised goes directly toward Fine Arts & Enrichment Programs/Field Trips, Teacher & Staff Appreciation, End-of-Year Student Celebrations and much more!  We appreciate any level of involvement and encourage new ideas!  Please consider joining the PCC by attending a meeting and/or volunteering for a committee.  Thank you!

The PCC uses the safe email provider Constant Contact as our primary mode of communication to provide current information on activities, events and important reminders.  It’s a great, eco-friendly way for families to stay informed!  PCC emails* come directly from our email coordinator and it is important that you sign up to receive PCC notifications. *Note, PCC emails are separate from school administration emails, you must subscribe to the PCC newsletter to receive PCC communications! Some communications are grade specific and you will be asked to select your child’s grade. Once you have subscribed you DO NOT need to update every year with that child’s grade, it will be done automatically.  You will need to re-subscribe if you have multiple students at HMMS.  For example, if you subscribed when your 1st child entered 6th grade you will not need to update for that child’s 7th or 8th grade year at HMMS, our system will automatically do that and you will receive general and grade specific communications for child #1.  HOWEVER, if you have another child enter HMMS please re-subscribe so you will be included in grade specific communications for child #2.  If you are unsure if you have signed up for PCC notifications or have questions, please contact our Email Coordinator or any Board Member.

About Us

For those new to our school community, the Parent Communication Council (PCC) is a parent volunteer organization that works with the teachers and administration to promote and enhance the educational and social environment of the students, the school, and our community. To accomplish these goals, the PCC will fundraise for the enrichment programs, field trips, activities and improvements in and around the school building, which otherwise would not be possible through school funds.

We meet on a monthly/bimonthly basis to discuss upcoming school events, plan future activities, and share ideas. A monthly newsletter is sent home electronically announcing meeting dates, special events, and other important PCC news. The newsletter is also posted on the school website and updates are posted on our Facebook page.

We encourage you to support our students by attending meetings and becoming involved. Your ideas, suggestions, and especially your help are needed. Any amount of time you may have to share would be greatly appreciated - please don't hesitate to ask about opportunities to help that are flexible with busy schedules!
