We’re excited to share that Active Minds at Franklin High School has been awarded a $4,000 grant from the KyleCares Foundation to support student mental health initiatives at FHS!
The grant recognizes the chapter’s work to promote open conversations, reduce stigma, and support student well-being. Over the past year, Active Minds has led several impactful initiatives, including a school-wide assembly with Dr. Jonathan Jenkins, a charity basketball game in partnership with Unified Sports, and regional mental health summits with Hockomock-area schools.
We’re proud of our Active Minds students and staff, led by Mrs. Davies, Mrs. Hess, and Mrs. Briggs, for their continued commitment to supporting mental health and building a stronger school community. Congratulations!

A massive thank you to everyone who came out to Franklin High School on September 15th for our community corn shucking party! Thanks to your hard work, our students across the district enjoyed fresh, delicious, locally grown Massachusetts corn in their school lunches.
A Special Shoutout to our Students volunteers who stepped up, rolled up their sleeves, and worked incredibly hard to help prep the harvest. You all made a huge difference!

🎾 Franklin High School Tennis Courts Are Getting a Refresh!
Exciting improvements are underway at the Franklin High School tennis courts!
The Town of Franklin's Department of Public Works is working with a contractor to resurface the courts. The courts have already been power-washed, and crews are currently installing mesh to repair larger cracks in preparation for resurfacing.
A big thank you to our DPW team and the contractors for their hard work in improving these facilities for our students and community. We look forward to sharing photos of the finished courts soon!

🚦 Opening Week Traffic Update
As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, we’re closely monitoring traffic patterns at our schools and comparing this year’s arrival and dismissal times with last year.
The data from Day 1 and Day 2 shows encouraging improvements at several locations, particularly during afternoon dismissal at Lincoln Street and Washington Street. We’ll continue to monitor traffic throughout the opening weeks so we can identify trends, address challenges, and make adjustments where possible.
Thank you to our students, families, and staff for your patience and cooperation as everyone settles into new routines. We appreciate everyone’s efforts to help keep arrival and dismissal moving safely and efficiently.

Our amazing District Chef cooked up a storm, turning premium, local Ground Beef from Weatherlow Farms into 3,900 spectacular, scratch-made Beef Meatballs!! Our students absolutely devoured them! Massive shoutout to Weatherlow Farms for bringing the best of local agriculture right to our cafeterias.

FRANKLIN — The F.X. O'Regan Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) recently hosted its annual Pop-Art Night, bringing together students, families, staff and community members for an evening celebrating student creativity.
This was the first year that the school partnered with the Franklin Public Library, which hosted the exhibit and event.
