These can be used for vocabulary as well as important information listed.

Make studying a game

Use the material to help you learn, but have fun doing it:

• Play concentration
• Play Jeopardy

Use the Study Guide

All of the information you need for the test is listed on the study guide. This is to help you study- the study guide will not be available on the day of the test. If you cannot find information in your folder, then ASK your teacher. She will help you find the information or give it to you if it is missing. Please remember that you MUST do this a few days before the test.

Your folder must be complete

This is your responsibility. Be sure you compare the study guide and folder so that you know you have everything you need.

Trust the study guide

We are giving you the information to study.  We will only tell you what you NEED to learn- we have taken out the “extra” material for you.

Use blank maps

Maps can be easily printed from the Internet. Use the maps you have to study and then “test yourself” using a blank map. You can then see what it is you need to learn. It is helpful to do this several times, so that you really learn the information. There will be maps on the test!

Don’t wait until the last minute!

You will learn the information better if you spread it out over the week. Choose one section for the test to study for nightly.

Write out the answers to short answer/essay questions. 

If the questions are given to you, find the answer and write it out. This will give you practice, and help you learn the information.

Review what you have done

Each day, spend a few minutes reviewing the information you learned the night before.  Then you can build on that information.
