Asbestos



In compliance with federal laws and regulations, Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACM) in Schools Rule, 40 CFR §§ 763.80 through 763.99,  the Franklin Public Schools complies with its responsibilities to inspect buildings that the District owns, leases or rents for asbestos-containing materials (ACM’s).  Town of Franklin, the Facilities Department and consultants create and execute written plans for managing ACMs in a manner that minimizes asbestos exposure hazards, abate asbestos hazards that cannot be controlled through operations and maintenance (O&M) procedures and carry out certain recordkeeping and notification functions.

 

Complete results of all inspections as well as the schools' asbestos management plan are on file in the building Principal's office and the Facilities Department Office.
